Join the ArtsThornton Virtual Art Club this summer!

Heidi West and Angel Estrada, art teachers at Thornton High School and artist residents at the Globeville Riverfront Arts Center, are teaming up with Arts Thornton and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) to host five Virtual Art Clubs on Google Meet starting Thursday, June 4 – July 30.

The Virtual Art Club is open to all ages so invite the whole family and join us on select Thursdays at 2 p.m. for some artistic inspiration and a simple project that you can try at home. Please note that the first two sessions will take place in the first two weeks.

No special materials are needed. Just tune in and we'll show you how to use whatever you have at home for some creative fun.  At the end of the five Virtual Art Club sessions, Thornton Arts & Culture will display works of art created throughout the summer in the Economic Development Galley.

Can't join on Thursdays but still want to participate? Check out the ArtsThornton Facebook page for videos of each session. Then, try out the technique at home and post your project on Facebook or Instagram and tag @artsthornton. Either way, we’ll see you and your creations online!
