​Community Food & PPE Drive

​We are in unprecedented and uncertain times and our Thornton neighbors experiencing hunger are turning to local food banks for help putting food on the table.  Supplies are running low.  Your donations are needed now more than ever.  You can help to feed our neighborhood families.  Thornton’s Community Connections and Parks divisions are working with faith-based organizations and food banks to feed our community.

How can I help?

Provide a food or non-food item:

Place your donations in designated boxes at the drop off location closest to you. (See drop-off locations near the end of this page for more information on where you can contribute!)
Items that are needed at this time: 
  • Canned vegetables - particularly corn, tomatoes, and mixed vegetables 
  • Rice 
  • Pasta 
  • Spaghetti sauce 
  • Canned beans 
  • Canned fruit 
  • Macaroni & cheese 
  • Canned soups 
  • Canned tuna in water 
  • Canned chicken 
  • Disinfecting wipes 
  • Gloves 
  • Face masks 
  • Plastic zipper bags – quart and gallon 
  • Boxes for food distribution

Drive thru Food Pantry Flyer Distribution
Walk in Federal Heights neighborhood (pre-assigned) and hand out flyers or post on doors (masks and gloves are mandatory).
