Bike to Work Day - June 22, 2022
Get back in the saddle! Join us Wednesday, June 22, 2022 to celebrate Bike to Work Day!
Bike to Work Day is an annual event organized by Way to Go, a program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments, in partnership with eight regional transportation management associations.
Each Bike to Work Day, commuters in the Denver region are encouraged to bike to work to save money during their commutes, improve their health and lower stress levels — all while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality. The state Legislature has designated June Bike Month in Colorado. The annual event which has occurred since 2007, takes place on the fourth Wednesday in June. The exceptions were in 2020, when the event was temporarily made virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic, and 2021, when it was postponed until September.
Don't miss the two breakfast stations hosted by the City of Thornton! You'll see the signs and hear the music as you get close, leading you to delicious breakfast burritos, hot coffee, and the best selection of snacks and beverages to pack up in your bag if you can fit them all. There will also be other goodies, a first aid kit, if you need it and lots of smiling faces, so we hope you mark this as a "must-stop" on your Bike to Work Day.
The breakfast stations are located near 88th & Colorado on the Platte River Trail and near York & 128th in East Lake. Find exact locations of the stations and lots of other helpful information under the Featured Links.
