The city of Thornton's Community Connections Division serves as a one-stop resource shop for Thornton residents. Community Connections provides a wide range of resources and services that support residents as they improve their quality of life in Thornton. English-Spanish bilingual team members offer a tailored selection of programming and referrals to meet individual needs for food, clothing, shelter, social/mental health support, homeless resources, employment assistance, and much more. The Thornton Community Connections Division team provides a welcoming and safe space for all Thornton residents to connect with life-enhancing support, referrals, and services. Mayor's Food & Sock Drive

Mayor’s Food and Sock Drive – November 1-30 Your donations of non-perishable holiday food items and new socks will benefit people experiencing homelessness and our local food banks. Please contact us for drop off location information.

Adams County & Thornton Free Food and Resource Drive-Thru Event

Adams County and the City of Thornton are partnering to provide residents with free, monthly food and resource drive-thru events. These events will provide power sacks with shelf-stable food and resources. On the 3rd Friday of the month, 8:30-9:30 AM.

Maternal Wellness and Mental Health Classes

Unique topics each month that promote wellness, self-care, and mental health. Every 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM.

Do you need a laptop or iPad?

We have both available for lending onsite completely FREE of charge. WiFi is available at no cost.

Adams County Public Assistance Available at Community Connections

On the second & fourth Tuesday of each month, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., learn about all the assistance programs and get your questions about SNAP, Medicaid, and cash assistance answered. Walk-ins are also welcome. For more information, contact Community Connections at 720-977-5800.
