2024 Healthy Farmers Markets
The annual Healthy Farmers Markets have operated annually since 2018 with the goal of addressing food insecurity in our community. The markets will be held from June 25 to October 3, 2024, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will be held at two locations: the Margaret Carpenter Recreation Center on Tuesdays, from 9am to 12pm, and McAllister Park on Thursdays, from 2pm to 5pm. Tuesday markets will offer fresh produce for purchase and vouchers $25 for SNAP, WIC, Medicaid/Medicare, those 65+, or anyone experiencing food insecurity. On Thursdays, Healthy Farmers Market will distribute boxes of fresh produce, replacing the coupons normally given out. Community and health resources will be provided both days. No markets the weeks of Independence Day and Labor Day. For more information, please contact Thornton Community Connections at 720-977-5800. View Healthy Farmers Market Flyer.
