To help keep everyone safe, the Thornton Police Department will be offering free paper wristbands for children. These wristbands allow parents or guardians to write their child’s name and a contact phone number, helping event staff and officers quickly reunite families if a child gets lost in the crowd.Wristbands will be available at the Lost Children Tent, and we encourage families to stop by when they arrive. You’re also welcome to create your own at home using paper and tape, a sticker, or any other method that clearly lists a name and phone number.Taking a few moments to plan ahead helps make the celebration safer and less stressful for everyone. What You Need to Know Before You GoPersonal 10x10 pop up tents/canopies are allowed, but must be secured into the ground with stakes and 40 lb. weights in each corner. For the safety and comfort of your pets, please leave them at home.No personal fireworks allowed.
