EGGCESSIBLE EGG SCRAMBLE EN ESPAÑOL

Join Thornton Parks, Recreation & Community Programs, along with our partners from Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Electric, Credit Union of Colorado and North Metro Church for a morning of springtime fun, collecting eggs and candy in a safe environment.

With the current COVID-19 restrictions in place and to serve the largest number of children that we possibly can, we asking that attendance please be limited to one adult per child, whether you are in the younger age groups that must accompany your children or in the older age groups that observe. Please be sure to register accordingly.

If you make a reservation and find that you are unable to attend, please be considerate and call our staff at 720-977-5700 to cancel your reservation to allow room for another child to participate.

Reservations are required and can be made in your child's/youth's age group below beginning Monday, March 15 at 8 a.m.
Online reservations will close at noon on Friday, April 2. There will be limited walk-up registrations the day of the event based on availability.

WALKING- 2 YEARS OLD
You must reserve a spot for one child and a spot for one adult.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Youth in this age group will participate unattended. Make a reservation for your youth participant only.
One adult per youth may come to observe from the viewing area, but will not need a reservation.

Important things to remember:

  • Please call the Weather Line, 720-977-5908, the morning of the event for weather-related information.

  • Bring a basket to collect your goodies.

  • Masks are required for all individuals 11 years and older and recommended for youth between 3 and 10 years old, as medically tolerated.

  • At the event, we will have check-in tables located in the lower north lot of Community Park along Thornton Parkway. Be sure to check-in at least 20 minutes before your start time in order to be issued a participation wristband.

  • Spots not claimed 10 minutes prior to the start will be forfeited.

  • Once your portion of the event has concluded, please return to your vehicle and exit the event site in order to allow a parking space for someone participating in the next age group scramble.

  • Parking is very limited and is located in the following areas:
    • Thornton Community Building (2141 E. 95th Ave.)
    • Thornton Community Center (2211 Eppinger Blvd.)
    • Minimal side street parking
    •  Limited ADA parking is available in the north lot off of Thornton Parkway with additional spots in the north facing row of the Community Building parking lot. 
    • Do not park at the Church of God 7th Day. (Eppinger Boulevard & Gaylord Street)
      This lot needs to be kept open for their patrons.

NEW THIS YEAR! One grand prize per age group will be awarded through a participation-based raffle drawing following the event. Winners will be contacted to pick up their prize from the Thornton Community Center during the week of April 5. No prizes will be distributed through the eggs or at the event.
