Thank you for your interest in being a part of festivals and special events hosted by the Thornton's Parks, Recreation & Community Programs Department. Local individuals and businesses are a key part of each event and your participation helps make them a success.

Each year we host several special events and festivals for the residents of Thornton and the surrounding communities. Below, you will find information about each including event information, vendor guidelines and how to apply. ​Food Vendor
​​Vendors who have a truck, trailer or booth serving quality food, snacks and or beverages for immediate consumption are considered a Food Vendor.

Marketplace Vendor
Questions? Contact MarketplaceCoordinator@ThorntonCO.gov.
Vendors who have products and services to sell and promote are a part of the Marketplace. Broken into three categories for fee purposes, the marketplace hosts crafters, businesses and non-profit organizations.

(Marketplace Vendor Guidelines)
​Crafter
​​Vendors who sell handmade products are considered Crafters. Commercial or imported versions of handcrafted items may only be sold as a part of our Business category.

Business​
Vendors who are promoting or selling a product or service or selling commercialized products (ie: resale products, imported crafts) are considered a part of our Business category.
Non-Profit
An organization that can verify their 501c3 non-profit status upon registration is considered a part of our Non-Profit category.

2024 FESTIVALS & EVENTS

 Thorntonfest  |  JUNE 1, 2024

Thorntonfest is one of the largest festivals hosted each year with 48,000 – 52,000 visitors annually.  The festival includes over a dozen food vendors, 180+ marketplace vendors, a car show, live entertainment, beer garden and much more. In addition to the main marketplace section, Thorntonfest has two additional sections designed for vendors who have specific products or services.  These include the Kid Zone and Paw Fest. Vendors in the Kid Zone sell products and promote services that encourage creativity and learning to amuse and support children of all ages and their families.  Paw Fest hosts the Colorado Disc Dogs Competition and other forms of animal-related entertainment and interaction. Vendors who sell all types of pet products and services are encouraged to participate.  Marketplace vendors in all sections will have a 12' x 12' space. Electricity, tables, and chairs are available to rent for an additional charge.

 July Fourth Celebration  |  JULY 4, 2024

The annual July Fourth Celebration hosts around 40,000 visitors annually.  While there is no marketplace for crafters and business, the festival includes a large selection of food vendors.  Entertainment for this event includes live entertainment, a beer garden, sky diving exhibition, and a FANTABULOUS fireworks show.

 Barrel & Beer Festival  |  AUGUST 24, 2024

Thornton Barrel and Beer festival is our newest event and features breweries, wineries and distilleries from all over Colorado. This ticketed event accepts applications for a limited number of food trucks, crafters, and businesses. Vendors' products should fit the vibe or 'spirit' of the event. Applications will be reviewed, and a limited number of vendors will be selected. Attendance is expected to be around 1,500 participants.  Applications will be available in early February and spaces may fill before the final application deadline.  Apply early for your best chance to have your application reviewed.  Marketplace Vendors will have a 10' x 10' space.  Electricity, tables, and chairs will NOT be available for rent.

 Harvest Fest  |  OCTOBER 5, 2024

Harvest Fest is Thornton's fall celebration with nearly 12,000 in attendance. A range of activities for all ages includes two stages of live entertainment, children's amusements, marketplace, food vendors, a beer garden and more. Food and marketplace vendors are encouraged to apply early as spaces fill quickly. In addition to the general marketplace, Harvest Fest hosts the Kid Zone. Vendors in the Kid Zone sell products and promote services that encourage creativity and learning to amuse and support children of all ages and their families.  New this year, marketplace vendor spaces will have a 10 x 10' space.  Electricity, tables, and chairs are available to rent for an additional charge.

 WinterFest  |  DECEMBER 13-15, 2024

This three-day festival is full of fun activities as Carpenter Park Fields is turned into Santa's Village.  This 4000 sq ft village has over 12 structures, 350+ lit trees, an ice-skating pond, ice carving demos, live musical entertainment, fireworks, drone show and more. WinterFest has over 40,000 attendees annually. Food vendors are needed for all three days. The Holiday Marketplace takes place on Saturday in a heated tent and has space for 36 vendors, each getting a 10' x 10' space.   Applications for the Holiday Marketplace go through a screening process and only vendors who sell quality items that make great last-minute holiday gifts are accepted.  A single document showing pictures of your items will be required to be uploaded when you complete your application.  Electricity, tables, and chairs are available to rent for an additional charge.
