Development Proposals Under Review
The City of Thornton has initiated a pilot program to identify development projects that are in the review process. Development projects requiring a City Council public hearing are posted with a sign. The posting sign is intended to generally notify interested parties of a prospective development, with phone and website contact information.
Development projects in the review process are identified on a web-based application/map. This “Active Development” web application/map will provide a summary of each project along with an opportunity to provide input to staff regarding the project.
Planner of the Day
City Development added resources to the “Planner of the Day” staffing, making a mobile phone contact available to the public, providing faster and more accurate customer service, and reducing wait/call back times.
You can contact Current Planning at 303-538-7295 or email pod.info@thorntonco.gov during business hours to reach the Planner of the Day.
Projects that have been noticed for a City Council public hearing are listed on the City of Thornton’s Public Notice page.
The Development Permits and Appeals Board is responsible for holding public hearings to receive testimony on applications for Development Permits and Variances to Chapter 18 of the City Code.
