The Thornton Barrel and Beer Festival is set to take place on Saturday, August 26, 4-8 p.m., at the Carpenter Park Pavilions. 3498 E. 112th Ave. “This immersive celebration promises an exceptional blend of craft brews, fine wines, spirits, and sensational live music, making it an unmissable experience for residents and visitors alike,” says Thornton Parks, Recreation and Community Programs Director Doug Romig.
Carpenter Park is already the successful home of the well-attended Thorntonfest and July 4th celebrations, as well as summer Concerts in the Park events. This newest Thornton Festival promises to be a great end-of-summer addition. Festivalgoers will be treated to a vast selection of handcrafted beers from local breweries, as well as offerings from regional favorites. “With a myriad of styles and flavors available, attendees will have the opportunity to savor everything from hop-forward IPAs and rich stouts to crisp lagers and refreshing pale ales,” says Romig. “The Thornton Barrel and Beer Festival also celebrates the excellence of local wineries. Wine lovers will delight in a curated selection of fine wines, as well as sampling a selection of spirits such as whiskey and vodka.”
To complement the libations, a lineup of talented local bands hit the festival stage, setting the tone for a lively and energetic atmosphere at the Carpenter Park Pavilions. “This is the perfect setting for this celebration,” says Romig. “With its lush greenery and ample space, the setting is perfect for mingling, relaxing, soaking in the summer vibes, and enjoying the company of fellow beer, wine and spirits enthusiasts.”
