RESCHEDULED: Business Support Center Opening

Thornton Economic Development has rescheduled the October 8 Thornton Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center opening event, after being notified of a positive COVID test for a Center employee.

Out of caution, the event is rescheduled for October 16 at 9:30 a.m. 


THORNTON, CO… Thornton Economic Development will officially open the Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center, 550 E. Thornton Pkwy., Suite #170, on October 8 at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting. "Alliance/Alianza Thornton Business Assistance Center is a network of private, public and non-profit small business resource providers," says Thornton Local Business Administrator Robin Martinez. "The center will help business owner's access local programs and services that support and assist their efforts to reestablish their business operations as they maneuver through the pandemic-changed business landscape." 

The Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center offers program and consulting related to COVID-19 recovery to both Spanish and English speaking business owners. Services, programming and resources are provided by Thornton's Economic Development Office, MiCasa Resource Center, Alianza, Business of Thornton Advisory Committee, the Colorado Small Business Development Center, and SCORE Denver which is a national network of volunteer and expert business mentors. "Thornton Economic Development is excited to offer free these services and resources, including co-working and meeting space, unique counseling opportunities and new workshop content in English and Spanish," says Martinez.

The center is funded through COVID-19 CARES Act funds and Thornton City Council.
