Colorful art installation at Thornton's amphitheater
Installation begins August 13, dedication is August 18

THORNTON, CO… The installation of Kaleidoscope, by artist DiAnne Cooper, begins Monday, August 13, at the Carpenter Park Amphitheater, 3498 E 112th Ave. The dedication celebration is August 18, 7 p.m., at the amphitheater.

Kaleidoscope sweeps across the amphitheater with a mural painted on the back wall, and large colorful spheres dotting the stage. “This artwork will bring new life to this space because it embodies the playful, creative community spirit of Thornton,” says Thornton Arts & Volunteer Coordinator Krystle Codrey. “Kaleidoscope is a vibrant carnival of color and patterns, which will add a lively dimension to the Carpenter Park Amphitheater and to all of the events that will be held in the space.”

This project is funded by a grant from the Adams County Open Space Fund. For more information, contact Thornton Arts & Volunteer Coordinator Krystle Codrey at 720-977-5882 or visit
