Celebrate the Season at Thornton’s WinterFest
Carpenter Park Fields, 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard Friday, December 10, and Saturday, December 11

THORNTON, CO…Kick-off the holiday season at Thornton's WinterFest. This annual event covers nearly five acres with 300 holiday trees, 125,000 lights, a skating 'pond', three fire pits, ice sculpting, food court and eight custom-built holiday buildings, and is a unique and fun experience for the whole family. In accordance with Tri-County Health Department's mandate, masks are required for everyone two years of age and older while inside tents and structures. The fun begins Friday at 6:30 p.m., when Thornton's mayor and city council help Santa turn on the lights in Santa's Village.

  • Santa Arrives - 6:30 p.m. Visit with Santa, 6:45-9 p.m.

  • Ice Skating on the Village Pond - 6:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Thornton Community Chorus

  • North Pole Nibbles and Heated Beer Garden - 6:30-9 p.m.

  • Community Connections Sock Drive

  • Holiday Light Maze - 6:30-9 p.m.

Saturday night ends with a spectacular fireworks show starting at 8:30 p.m.; one of the few December fireworks displays in Colorado.
