THORNTON, CO…Kick-off the holiday season at Thornton's WinterFest. This annual event covers nearly five acres with 300 holiday trees, 125,000 lights, a skating 'pond', three fire pits, ice sculpting, food court and eight custom-built holiday buildings, and is a unique and fun experience for the whole family. In accordance with Tri-County Health Department's mandate, masks are required for everyone two years of age and older while inside tents and structures. The fun begins Friday at 6:30 p.m., when Thornton's mayor and city council help Santa turn on the lights in Santa's Village.
