Kick off summer with Thorntonfest!
Popular summer festival is June 8

THORNTON, CO… Thorntonfest, a signature summer festival in the city of Thornton, takes place Saturday, June 8, at Carpenter Park Fields, 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Activities include:

  • The Marketplace: featuring a craft fair, dozens of business exhibitors, service groups, and non-profits highlighting their services and products.
  • Ninja Warrior Course: Come meet American Ninja Warrior legend, Brian Arnold and challenge yourself to the Ninja courses.
  • Paw Fest for pets and their owners and features discounted pet vaccinations, the Colorado Disc Dogs AWI Qualifier canine Frisbee competitionpet vendors, and creature features. 
  • Thornton Fire Department- Come visit TFD's fire truck photo booth and learn about the Move to the Right for Sirens and Lights campaign along with other life safety education material to help keep you and your family safe.
  • Kids Korner: features bungee trampolines, a climbing wall, a mini-train, carnival rides and more.
  • The Marketplace Stage featuring performances by Accousticators, Cass Clayton, 17th Avenue All-Stars, 5th Gear Funk, and Hot Lunch.  
  • The Carpenter Park Amphitheater Dance Stage featuring dance groups from Thornton recreation program and local dance studios 8:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
  • Mile Hi Cruisers Car Show presented by Grease Monkey  
  • Beer Gardens presented by Mother Tucker Brewery
  • Thornton's Got Talent: residents show their talents and compete in the Carpenter Park Amphitheater 1 p.m.-4 p.m., presented by Brother's Plumbing.
  • Art for <100 Sale Featuring local Artists selling original artwork at affordable prices.
  • City of Thornton Police Dog Demonstration-Located in the middle of the field next to the City Tent, the police will host demonstrations at 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.

There will be a shuttle service to and from STEM Launch School, 9450 N. Pecos St., Northstar Park, 400 E. 88th Ave. and Community Park, York Street and Thornton Parkway, and the Carpenter Park lower lot. Service begins at 9:30 a.m., and shuttles arrive at each location every 25-30 minutes. The last shuttle will depart the festival from the Carpenter Field flag pole at 5:30 p.m. For a complete list of Thorntonfest activities go to
