City of Thornton November Holiday Closures

THORNTON, CO… Thornton City Hall, 9500 Civic Center Drive, will be closed Monday, November 11, to observe the Veterans Day holiday. City offices will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 12.

The Trail Winds Recreation Center and Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Center, Thornton Community Center, Thornton Active Adult Center and Thornton Arts & Culture Center will be open regular business hours on November 11. The Thornton Teen Center will be open 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. There will be no delay in Thornton trash/recycle collection. 

City of Thornton offices will be closed on November 28 and 29 to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, December 2.

The Trail Winds Recreation Center will be open on Thanksgiving from 7 am. – noon, but the Active Adult area at TWRC will be closed November 28 and 29. The Margaret W. Carpenter Recreation Centers and Thornton Community Center will be closed Thursday, November 28, for Thanksgiving, and will reopen with normal business hours on Friday, November 29. The Thornton Teen Center will be open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on November 29. The Thornton Active Adult Center and Arts & Culture Center will be closed both Thursday and Friday.

Thanksgiving week, Thursday and Friday Thornton trash/recycle customers will have a one day delay in service. Thursday customers will have their trash/recycle collected on Friday, November 29. Friday customers will have their trash collected on Saturday, November 30. All other city of Thornton trash/recycle customers are on a normal schedule with no delay in service.
