The Spot: A safe hangout for Thornton Youth

​​A safe hangout for Thornton youth ages 17 and under ​During the construction of the new center, we welcome Thornton youth age 17 and under to join us at the Thornton Community Building (2141 E. 95th Avenue) for a safe and social hangout.

Youth Advisory Council

Calling all civically minded youth! Do you have ideas for youth and teen activities and volunteering? Would you like to be a leader in your community? The Thornton Youth Council is accepting applications for the school year. Join us as we think outside our box to come up with and create activities to help our community.

You must be in middle school or high school, live in Thornton, maintain a 2.0 or higher GPA and be drug and alcohol free. Contact Jennie Christoffel at 720-977-5916 or Jennie.Christoffel@ThorntonCO.gov for more information.

Volunteer Corps

The Thornton Youth and Teen Volunteer Corps is a free summer program that engages youth in Middle and High School to perform various projects throughout the Thornton community and beyond. It creates such great self-esteem and provokes responsibility; it's great.
