About Us
The Thornton Office of Emergency Management plans, coordinates and supports activities to reduce community vulnerability by preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating impacts to natural and man-made disasters and large-scale emergencies. The office currently resides within the Risk Management Division of the Management Services Department for the City.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Thornton Office of Emergency Management is to have programs and policies to facilitate proactive measures in addressing preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation in service to the residents and employees of the City.
