​Youth Enrichment Classes

The city of Thornton offers a variety of classes and programs designed to expand learning and help keep children active and moving. 


JumpBunch provides great exercise, but in a structured format that introduces a wide variety of sports, and builds coordination, balance and confidence. Each class includes warm-ups, floor exercises, the sport activity of the week, stretching, then cool down.

Artsy Kids (Ages 6-14)

Kids love to paint and be creative, but the thought of getting out the craft supplies and cleaning up after makes you twitch!  Artsy Kids is perfect for getting the kids out of the house, to socialize and create.  The best part is we guide them with instructions through beautiful artwork and we do all the clean up! 

Bring a friend or meet a new on in our pop up art studio, it's "The Art of Socializing!"

My First Abrakadoodle Art Class (Ages 1.5 - 4 years)

This class introduces new art experiences to the youngest of doodlers.  The focus is on exploration!  Experiment with a wide variety of art materials designed to provide opportunities to touch, feel, hear, see and explore while building fine motor, language, creativity and cognitive skills.  Lessons never repeat!  An adult must attend with a child.

Abrakadoodle Doodle & Design (Ages 5-12)

Discovery happens with eyes wide open!  With artfully educated eyes, students notice design in nature, engineered structures, human-made products and more in the surrounding world!  This new awareness of art elements and principles enhance the joy of discovery in the visual world.  Abrakadoodle artists doodle and design to explore new techniques, exciting materials, art history , and design-loving artists!

Little Medical School

Kids love to dress up and play doctor. Our programs encourages children to do this as they explore the exciting world of medicine and different careers in healthcare.  This program is taught by a contractual instructor who plans the program based upon the number of students registered 48 hours prior to the start of the program. Therefore, we cannot grant refund, credit, or transfer requests after 48 hours prior tot he start of the class. Thank you for your understanding.

Little Veterinarian School 2-Day Camp (Ages 6-10)

Using interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, kids learn how to take care of pet and use instruments that veterinarians use.  Each child will take home their stuffed furry friend used in the program and a diploma.

Topics include:  What is in the Veterinarian's Office; The ABCs of Dog Care-Keeping Animals Healthy with Food and Water; Lacerations; Sick of Ticks and The Immune System and Vaccinations.    Fee: $94R/NR

Spanish Immersion for Children

In this eight week course, Language World native-speaking and bilingual teachers lead the kids through adventure-filled lessons that combines storytelling, music, movement, art and dramatic play, to teach kids to understand and ultimately speak new languages.
