Empowerment Expo

Empowerment Expo for the Unhoused Community

The city of Thornton is hosting the Empowerment Expo, a monthly event to assist the city’s unhoused population. Beginning October 17, the recurring event will take place on the third Thursday of each month from 1 - 3 p.m., at the Rock AG Church, 8891 Poze Blvd., Thornton.

The Empowerment Expo will offer a variety of essential resources including mental health and substance abuse support, job training and search services, hygiene products, I.D. services, food and clothing supplies, Medicaid application assistance, and other supportive services that empower participants.

The Empowerment Expo is open to unhoused community members in need and will feature collaborations between local nonprofits, Thornton and Adams County services, and volunteers, all working together to help participants access long-term resources that can lead to lasting solutions. People who have questions or need assistance with transportation to the event can email ThorntonHOT@ThorntonCO.gov or call Thornton Community Connections at 720-977-5900.
