The Thornton Active Adult Center (AAC) and Trail Winds Active Adult Wing (TWAAC) offer a wide variety of special interest activities throughout the week on a drop-in basis. Feel free to stop in and check them out! Only thing required is a Thornton Recreation ID Card.

Come and join the "Thornton Wood Chippers" every Monday morning. Bring your wood and trusty knife. We've got friendly folks with whittling wisdom who will show you how to create a masterpiece. Mondays from 9-11 a.m.
Mixed use space. You must be enrolled in a current pottery class or have taken the Woodshop training to participate.
Wood Shop: Tools are available for use when classroom is not in use, a release form must be completed prior to use. Users must also have valid city of Thornton ID card.
This talented music group practices bimonthly and performs for nursing homes and other Active Adult Centers. Most of the music practiced is from the 30's - 50's. Practices are held on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month at 9:30 a.m. except summer months.

Scott Twombly, City of Thornton staff member is an avid and experienced coin collector and he is sharing his knowledge monthly and bringing together anyone interested in learning more about coins, or is a collector and looking to meet new friends.

Learn from others on how to navigate public transit, use technology to make tasks at home simpler, and understand what devices are available to help with work and play.
