Due to extreme drought this winter, we are making changes to golf operations until we see some meaningful precipitation. First tee time will move to 10am with 15-minute intervals between times rather than 10 minutes. The late start will allow us to get water on the golf course in the morning before play as necessary and the increased intervals will decrease overall traffic on the greens, which we are most concerned about. The putting green may also be closed at times due to heavy wear & tear.
The City of Thornton wants to ensure we are transparently communicating with our guests and always makes decisions with the best interests of our community asset in mind. While we can all enjoy the great "winter" weather, we want to ensure the course is ready for peak season when demand is at its highest. Our practice facility includes an 80yd. wide range tee with seven bentgrass target greens at varying distances and a 13,000 sq. ft. putting green with ample space to test your putting skills.
