Who We Are

We are a dedicated staff that strives to meet or exceed our customer's needs, whether they are citizens or other city employees. We believe in the fair treatment of everyone we work with. Our focus on driving success is based on strong teamwork and communication.

Thornton is committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable organizational culture. It's important to us that we treat our fellow teammates and residents with courtesy and respect, appreciating each other's differences and celebrating our individual perspectives while working toward a common goal. Cooperative teamwork means great minds don't all think alike! Instead we all have a chance to voice our ideas, be accountable in doing our part, and sharing in a collaborative spirit whenever possible. We strive to maintain the public's trust by providing excellent customer service to the public, and within the city to other employees.

Thornton is a full service city providing a variety of employment opportunities. Police, fire, infrastructure, legal, parks & recreation, and city planning are just some of the areas that offer rewarding, challenging employment. Thornton works hard to ensure that our positions offer competitive salaries and benefits. Come join our team and help make our community a better place to live!
