Meet Bruce, our Outdoor Recreation Leader and driver, at the west end of the Thornton Active Adult Center parking lot (11181Colorado Blvd.) Van departs at 8 a.m. for January-March trips and 7 a.m. for April trips. Meet at the Carpenter Park Tennis courts at least 15-minutes before departure time. Return times will vary from week to week depending on various factors.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions including waterproof hiking boots, snowshoes, Yak Trax and a day pack with your lunch, snacks, plenty of water and anything else you may need on the trail. Bruce will guide you through taking beautiful pictures with tips on how to determine your subject, lighting, focus, and other various pointers. Don’t you have an expensive camera? Don’t worry! You can even use your cellphone camera! Be prepared to photograph for about 1½ hours. Many of these trips will require a great deal of walking on uneven terrain.
