NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Thornton Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing to consider a variance request for the single-family detached residential lot at 7458 East 158th Place. The request seeks approval for a 25-foot reduction to the required setback from a plugged and abandoned oil and gas well, resulting in a 25-foot setback (Talon View Subdivision, Block 11, Lot 6).
The subject property is generally located southwest of the intersection of East 158th Place and Roslyn Street.
This hearing will be held on May 5, 2026, immediately after the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting, which will begin at 6:00 p.m., at Thornton City Hall in the Council Chambers, 9500 Civic Center Drive, Thornton, Colorado. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing or present their views by providing written comments in advance of the public hearing. Written comments sent via email must be received at CityDevelopment@ThorntonCO.gov prior to 4:00 pm MDT/MST on the day of the public hearing. Written comments sent via mail to Thornton City Hall, City Development Department, 9500 Civic Center Drive, Thornton, CO 80229 must be received at City Hall prior to 5:00 pm MDT/MST on the Friday preceding the public hearing.
