NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing before the City Council of the City of Thornton, Colorado, on the 9th day of June 2026, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Thornton City Hall Council Chambers, 9500 Civic Center Drive, Thornton, Colorado, for the purpose of adopting by reference the Colorado Model Electric Ready and Solar Ready Code.

669-900-6833 and enter Meeting ID 857 3873 0706. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting and the process for providing testimony.
At least one copy of the code above, any secondary codes pertaining thereto, and the adopting ordinance are on file in the office of the City Clerk and may be inspected during regular business hours.
The Colorado Model Electric Ready and Solar Ready Code is published by the Colorado Energy Office, located at 600 Broadway Suite 1960, Denver, CO 80202, for the purpose of “regulat[ing] the design and construction of buildings to prepare new buildings for solar photovoltaic or solar thermal, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and electrification of building systems.”
Following this hearing, the City Council will consider passage of the adopting ordinance on final reading of this Ordinance. The effective date of this ordinance will be upon final passage.
