The City of Thornton is considering a decision regarding the construction of a 3,216 square feet modular classroom building for use on Sunday mornings. The subject property is located at 3751 Cottonwood Lakes Blvd, Thornton, CO 80241
A Development Plan application was submitted to the City by Robert Austin on behalf of the property owner for the property located at 3751 Cottonwood Lakess Blvd. Mr. Austin is the hired Architect responsible for the design and drawing of the modular classroom. Staff has reviewed the proposal and has found that it meets the requirements of Chapter 18 of the City of Thornton Municipal Code. The proposed development meets the standards for an accessory building located in the Single-Family Detached Legacy (SFD-L) zone district. Further, the modular building meets all applicable height, setbacks, and architectural standards of the Code. This approval will be final on October 23, 2026.
