Art Conversation & Supported Art Making (Ages 62+)

The Denver Museum of Art program titled "Clay Connects", introduces three generations of women from the Naranjo family of Kha'po Owingeh (Santa Clara Pueblo) in northern New Mexico, whose shared tradition of storytelling through clay spans generations.  While united by the medium, each artist brings a unique voice, exploring how clay connects people to place, time and each other.

You will spend time looking at and discussing three artworks. Additional tactiles and contextual images help bring the art to life and connect participants with the artists creative processes.  Then enjoy an accessible, open-ended art making activity that highlights exploration, materials and process, using a packet of air-dry clay for each participant, shared tools for the group and additional prompts and inspiration to help the creativity flow.
