Thornton residents can use this service to get rid of clutter in the garage or basement, plan a do-it-yourself room remodel, clean up the yard or storage shed, get rid of recently replaced furniture or appliances, or for a rental property cleanup! Fees start at $72. This service is available by appointment only.

Click & Haul FAQs
Yes, as long as it is a scheduled appointment with one specific account to bill. The Click & Haul fee cannot be split between accounts.
Four Thornton free Landfill Days each year on specified dates.
The minimum fee is just $72 per collection for up to 6 cubic yards of stuff, which would fill approximately two standard pickup truck beds. The cost of service is placed on the next utility bill for payment.

Most loads incur the current minimum fee of $72. Please email environmentalservices@thorntonco.gov or call 720-977-6200 for pricing information and scheduling on larger loads.
- We reserve the right to add an additional fee of $30 per mattress depending on the size of the pile of debris left for collection.
- There will be a fee of $10 added to your utility bill if Click & Haul appointment needs to be cancelled and is not done so 48 hours beforehand.

Furniture, appliances, mattresses/box springs, hot water heaters, fence panels, branches, remodeling debris, yard waste, etc.
Certain electronics like televisions, computer monitors, printers, laptops, DVD players, stereos, and video game consoles. NO hazardous materials or liquids (i.e., flammable liquids, oil, paint, fertilizer, chemical cleaners, etc.) NO tires. NO concrete or masonry demolition (driveway concrete, wall blocks, or gravel). NO dirt or sod.
If you reside within Thornton city limits, you may still be eligible for the Click & Haul service, but the following guidelines apply:
- We must be able to pick up debris in a safe manner. A supervisor may need to evaluate your address before scheduling the appointment.
- A waiver must be signed if you reside on a private street; please call 720-977-6200 for details.
We ask that you place your items on the street, entirely off your property, by 7 am the morning of your scheduled collection. We cannot haul away items placed in the yard, driveway, or sidewalk. It should be on the street where you would parallel park a car. Please give your pile plenty of space (do not park a car too close to the pile), and do not put anything on the curb more than 24 hours before your scheduled collection.

City of Thornton trash & recycling customers can use the online system for some of the most common service requests:
- Order an additional black trash container.
- Order an additional green recycle container.
- Schedule a lid replacement.
- Remove a container from service address.

- Replacing a cracked or badly damaged container on your next collection day.
