Upcoming Registration Dates – Winter/Spring Session (January-April 2021)


    •   December 1 at 7 a.m.


    • 1st Winter Session:   December 14 at 7 a.m.*

    • 2nd Winter Session:  February 8 at 7 a.m.*

    • Spring Session:  March 15 at 7 a.m. *


    •  Session C & G:  December 14 at 7 p.m. *

    • Session D:  February 8 at 7 p.m.*

    • Session F & I:  March 15 at 7 p.m.*

*Nonresident registration begins the following day at 7 a.m.

  • Walk-In (Currently unavailable - All facilities are closed due to Covid-19)

Registration Guidelines:

  • A Release of Liability Waiver must be on file for any individual participating in one of our programs. (please allow up to 48 hours for the waiver to be processed)

  • Please register early.  If a class doesn't have a sufficient number of participants 48-hours prior to the beginning of class, the class may be cancelled.  All registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis until the classes begin, are filled or are cancelled.

  • Thornton residents must show proof of residency or have their household set up in our system to receive resident rates (see below)

  • If you wish to register online, you must have an account set up or you can request an account.  Once your account is set up you will be issued a user name and password (please allow up to 48 hours).

  • Registration in the first session does not guarantee a place in continuing classes.

  • All fees are payable at the time of registration (unless noted otherwise)

  • Classes are structured for a designated age group.  Participants registering in the programs must be the stated age by the begin date of the program.  Any age override requires coordinator approval prior to registration and cannot be done online.

Inclusion Policy:

Thornton includes people of all abilities in our recreation programs.  We strive to not only meet the requirements of the ADA but to create a welcoming and supportive community. If you see a program we offer that you would like to participate in but require accommodation, please fill out the Inclusion Request (link coming soon) or contact our AIR Coordinator, Becky Post, CTRS at 720-977-5702 or becky.post@ThorntonCO.gov.

Cancellation Policy:

  • If you are not satisfied with the activities and programs offered, we can issue a household credit, transfer you to a different activity or issue a refund.  There were be a cancellation fee of $5 or 10% whichever is greater assessed on each cancelled class.  (Please note:  The refund policy of some Adult and 62+ programs, all CARA and sport programs and any contractual class may differ.)

  • Credit Card refunds are issued back to the card that was used for the original purchase and are processed as soon as the refund is authorized.  Refund checks take approximately two weeks to process.  Amount refunded may be prorated based on the reason for the refund and/or attendance.

  • All refunds are subject to the approval of the program coordinator.

Proof of Thornton Residency:

  • Your current valid Colorado driver's license or Colorado identification card with a current address; or

  • A photo ID and two of the following documents showing correct name, current date and current Thornton address.

    • Utility bill or phone bill

    • Car registration

    • Voter registration card

    • Statement form a major creditor

    • Recent Adams County tax notice

    • Rental contract/mortgage statement
