Thornton Lakes & Fishing

Open Year Round from 6am to 11pm

(except as noted)

 

All lakes are subject to Colorado Parks and Wildlife fishing regulations.

  • Warm water species (Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Crappie, Perch and Sunfish) are found in most lakes except as noted.
  • Ice fishing is not allowed on any of Thornton’s lakes.
  • No swimming, wading or boating is allowed except as noted below.

 

  • Carpenter Park Lake
  • Civic Center Lake
  • Eastlake Nature Area – no fishing allowed
  • Grandview Ponds x 4 – minimum size for bass is 15”
  • Grange Creek Park Pond
  • Gravel Lakes x 2 – open March 15 to October 31. Hours are sunrise to sunset.
    • Walleye and Trout
  • Hunters Glen Lake – non motorized boats allowed
  • Lambertson Lakes x 3
  • Marshall Lake
  • Nott’s Pond
  • Park Village Pond
  • Sage Creek Park
  • Sprat Lake – Hours are sunrise to sunset.
  • Woodglen Park Pond
