Bristol board paper and erasers will be provided in class. Bring a water bottle for hydration. The studio is heated.

WATERCOLOR SILHOUETTE

Get familiar with watercolors in a fun, relaxed environment! Learn about basic watercolor techniques and color mixing principles, then choose one of artist Corrie Frank's custom animal silhouette stencils to create an 8"x10" painting that the whole family can enjoy.

ART EXPERIENCE CAMP

Join Heidi for a variety of creative and engaging projects and a chance to try several distinct types of art each day including drawing, painting, jewelry and more. You will have art that you are really proud to take home by the end of the week. Wear old clothes.

KIDSTAGE DRAMA CAMP

Our fast-moving and fun workshop will have your kids exploring the many facets of theater through fun, thought provoking, and stimulating games and activities. No acting or theater experience is necessary and first-time students are encouraged to attend.

JEWELRY MAKING CAMP

Learn how to make bracelets, rings, pins, and pendants using wire, beads, shrink art and clay. This is a great class to learn how to make easy and beautiful jewelry projects for yourself or for gifting.

Additional TAA Program Information

  • Thornton Arts Academy offers entry-level art and theater classes for kids, youth and adults year-round. 
  • Students are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions which change every five weeks each season.
  • Fees are kept low with funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and city of Thornton. 
  • Classes are kept small and held at the TACC and Annex studio, Active Adult Center and Trail Winds Recreation Center.
  • At the end of each season, students can participate in an art show or performance to showcase their newfound talents.
