10th Annual Día de los Muertos

The City of Thornton invites the community to gather for the 10th Annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration. This family-friendly event honors the Mexican tradition of remembering and celebrating loved ones who have passed through art, music, food, and cultural traditions. 

Admission is free and open to all ages.

Enjoy music and dance performances on the main stage.  

Family Activities

Bring the whole family for face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling, a selfie booth, and a book table hosted by AnyThink Libraries.

Cultural Highlights

Take part in a community ancestor altar, known as an ofrenda, by sharing photos and memories of loved ones, including family pets.

Food and Artisan Market

Explore a variety of Mexican food trucks and an expanded artisan market featuring items for the holiday.

Public Art Exhibit

Colorado artist Cal Duran returns with a Día de los Muertos exhibit exploring his Indigenous heritage through clay and sculpture.
