COVID-19 IMPACTS: There are no operational changes to Utilities or Trash/Recycle Service at this time.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found no evidence that COVID-19 is spread through drinking water. Thornton's treatment plants utilize chlorine disinfection, filtration, and other processes to clean and disinfect drinking water against pathogens (e.g., viruses like COVID-19). Even after your drinking water leaves the treatment plants, the water is still protected and monitored.
