Reduced Rate Assistance
The Recreation Division offers a Reduced Rate Assistance Plan (RRAP) for Thornton
residents who qualify. Qualified recipients get a discounted fee for recreation programs and admittance to recreation facilities.
What is the RRAP Discount?
For those families who qualify, they will purchase a RRAP photo ID card for all family members over the age of six. Showing that card will entitle them to a 50% discount on all recreation programs and facilities:
Program Discount: Each time you register you or your child for any City-sponsored recreation program, you must show the applicable RRAP photo ID cards and then the registration fee will reflect a 50% discount on the resident program fee. This includes some senior center programs.
Facility Discount: There are four facilities that will honor this RRAP Discount:
Each family member must show their RRAP ID each time they visit the facility in order to receive the 50% discount off the appropriate daily admission fee. A qualifying parent must present their current RRAP photo ID card when accompanying any family members who are five years and younger. Again, all will be charged 50% off the appropriate daily admission fee.
